Police: Two suspects caught on camera stealing $300 Lotus pod plant at city cemetery

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a theft from the Old City Cemetery.

They said officers responded to the cemetery on Taylor Street on Friday where they said two suspects were caught on camera digging up a $300 Lotus pod plant the cemetery had just planted in their new lake display.

The camera had a time stamp of 6:24 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police said the suspects were in their late 20s, maybe their early 30s, wearing red shirts and red shorts.
