Police: Suspect robbed Wells Fargo at gunpoint, took off on foot

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a bank robbery in the 1300 block of Hershberger Road, NW at the Wells Fargo.

Police said the suspect, described to be in his late 30s, about 6-foot - 6-foot-2, and around 200 pounds, with a beard, handed a teller a note demanding money around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, December 12.

The teller told police he showed what appeared to be a gun, took cash, and ran out of the door in the direction of the Taco Bell on Hershberger Road.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Police provided pictures of the suspect, caught on surveillance video.
