HALIFAX Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says a stolen vehicle that a wanted man was driving has been located at the Mecklenburg/Brunswick County line.

Investigators said William Roberts used a credit card at a convenience store in Botetourt County just after midnight Sunday.

Officers responded to the area stores and reviewed video that showed Roberts attempting to get gas in a white Ford F-150, they said.

Police said the vehicle was stolen from the Dagger Springs area, where the owner confirmed it had been stolen.

The sheriff's office said the truck was found around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Roberts is still at large and considered armed and dangerous; they said they did not know his way of travel or the direction he is now going.

Roberts has been on the run from police since last Friday, and is also wanted out of Colorado for a felony traffic offense.

"Please be cautious and be aware of your surroundings," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook.

Anyone with information on Roberts' whereabouts is asked to contact the Halifax County Sheriff's Office at 434-476-3334, or any local or state law enforcement agency.
