Police: Several vehicles broken into in the past 5 days in Lynchburg neighborhood

Police said between March 9 - March 13, there were 12 reports of people's belongings being stolen from vehicles with several being reported in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Edley Place and surrounding streets.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said it's looking for information in relation to recent larcenies from vehicles.

Police said between March 9 - March 13, there were 12 reports of people's belongings being stolen from vehicles with several being reported in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Edley Place and surrounding streets.

Officers were able to get surveillance video of one larceny which shows a subject enter a vehicle through the driver's side front door in the early morning hours of Friday, March 9, rummage through the vehicle and then leave the area on foot.

Suspects have stolen change, cash, wallets, checkbooks, and credit cards.

The Lynchburg Police Department said it recommends removing items of value from your vehicle, lock your doors, and if you leave items inside your vehicles, put them out of sight.
