Police: Man hits gas instead of brakes, crashes into front door of Madison Heights bank


MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. (WSET) -- The Bank of the James in Madison Heights was shut down temporarily after a man hit the doors of the bank with his mini van.

State Police said an elderly man went to hit the brakes, but accidentally hit the gas.

He ended up hitting a parked car and the front doors of the bank, shattering them around 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14.

Police said he won't be charged.
