Police: Man dies from stab injury two weeks later, death investigation underway
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- The Danville Police Department said it's investigating the death of a 34-year-old Danville resident.
Police said officers responded and rescue personnel responded to the 600 block of Holbrook Street on September 10 around 3:15 p.m. in reference to a disturbance.
Once on the scene, officers said they found a 34-year-old man with an injury consistent with a stab or puncture wound, but they said the man was conscious and gave some details about the incident.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the man died around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the hospital. His body has now been sent to the Office of the Medical Examiner for autopsy and further investigation.
