Police investigate vehicle fire as arson
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Lynchburg Police are investigating an early morning car fire as an arson.
Police and fire crews were at the scene on 17th Street near Monroe Street Thursday morning.
Dispatch says they got several calls about the fire Thursday morning, with the first one coming in at 6:14 a.m.
Officials say the car was still burning was the fire department arrived at the scene.
Neighbors say it appeared a man lit his own car on fire.
The Fire Marshal's office is investigating and hadn't said if any charges were pending as of Thursday afternoon.
