Police: 71-year-old man hit by car in Roanoke dies


ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) - Roanoke Police say the 71-year-old man who was hit by a car on Friday has passed away.

Henry David Jordan, Sr. was hit in the 3900 block of Brandon Avenue SW at the intersection of Peters Creek Road.

Jordan was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police believe the driver had a medical emergency which caused the car to crash into Jordan, jump the curb, and hit a home in the Brandon Oaks retirement community.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
