LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- At least two new restaurants are set to hit the scene in Lynchburg this summer.

One is owned by the Parry Restaurant Group, who also owns El Jefe, Waterstone Pizza, Shoemakers American Grill, and Bootleggers.

Fire & Hops Taphouse

Fire & Hops Taphouse is the first restaurant coming, set to open April 7 in Wyndhurst.

On its website, it says that Fire & Hops Taphouse is all about delicious pizza and a fantastic selection of craft beer.

They will be serving fire roasted pizza, custom ground burgers, salads, and other entrees.

The restaurant will be able to seat 110 people with additional outdoor dining space on a patio alongside Enterprise Drive.

They are already hiring too, you can apply here.

Emerald Stone Grill

The Emerald Stone Grill is not associated with Parry Restaurant Group, but is set to open on Jefferson Street in downtown Lynchburg next week.

The Irish-themed restaurant is having a soft open on Monday night and will open at night for the rest of the week, then next week will open at normal hours which will be 11 a.m.

Restaurant owner Keith Sweeney says he's been working on getting it open for about a year.

One of their big menu items is a 36 oz. steak.

"We're very excited, we love this area," said Sweeney. "We've been trying to get this thing underway for about a year now, and we're very excited."

Sweeney said they'll start serving lunch menus next week.
