Mustaches for Kids raises over $140,000 for local charities
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- More than 150 people attended the Mustaches for Kids annual Stash Bash Friday night.
The event held at Glass House raised more than $143,000 with about 140 mustache growers.
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg, CASA of Central Virginia, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia and Jubilee Family Development Center all received checks for $30,000.
"We can make it better for our kids. Then we as a society, as Lynchburg or any other town is better off if we start with the kids and focus forward," said Chris Boswell, President and Founder of Mustaches for Kids Lynchburg.
The leftover funds will go as a surprise to several local children's charities in Lynchburg.
