CAMPBELL Co., Va. (WSET) -- A Campbell County man charged with second degree murder was back in court Tuesday, February 27.

Grover Roberson is accused of killing Gary Wade last summer.

Last August, Roberson was involved in a fight with Wade, according to the sheriff's office, which caused Wade to suffer from "significant trauma to the head area."

Wade died at the scene on Patterson Road in Evington.

At the time, neighbors said the two men were friends.

After court on Tuesday, a friend of Roberson's said he's known him for six years and can't believe what is happening.

"As long as I've known him he's always been a nice guy," said Greg Lindsey, Roberson's friend. "He would be willing to help you if there's something you need done."

Wade's family said no matter what happens, they think it will be an injustice because the won't get Wade back.
