ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- A former middle school teacher has been found guilty after he was charged with assault charges involving a student.

Jeremy Pohlman was found guilty for two counts of indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of assault and battery, occurring while maintaining custodial or supervisory role over a child.

The Roanoke Commonwealth's Attorney said both of the alleged incidents happened at Stonewall Jackson Middle School and Pohlman is accused of touching students inappropriately.

Officials said the alleged dates were during December 2016.

In September, Pohlman decided not to take a plea deal and wanted to go to trial instead.
