Metal working company adding location in Danville, creating 55 new jobs
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- A company from the United Kingdom is starting to move into its new facility in the Danville area.
Unison, a metal working company, is moving to its first location in the United States and they picked Danville.
They make machines that bend metal and they'll be working out of a building on Cane Creek Parkway.
Danville City Manager Ken Larking said Unison wanted to add a location in Danville because of the city's Precison Machining pipeline and metal work training.
"One of the reasons why they located in Danville is because we have a strong manufacturing ethic in our community, plus we have the training through the high school and the community college and the capstone that gives people the skills that are attractive to these types of businesses," said Larking.
55 jobs are up for grabs and Unison said they would be looking to hire soon.
