LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Lynchburg Police are investigating an incident that happened on Wards Road Thursday morning.

Police said officers got a call from the Walmart around 9:30 a.m. about a man attempting to commit a fraud at one of the registers.

Employees told police that the suspect had entered the store wearing a camouflage hat and clothing and was carrying what appeared to be two firearms; one in a shoulder holster and one in a gun case.

They said he attempted and then completed the fraud transaction.

Before officers arrived, the suspect left the store.

After a brief search, police said officers located the suspect, Terry Antonio Jones, 30, of Lynchburg, hiding in the woods behind Sam's Club and arrested him.

Police determined the two weapons were a paintball gun and a BB gun.

Jones is charged with obtaining money by false pretense.
