MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. (WSET) -- A one vehicle accident in Madison Heights on Route 29 is creating big traffic problems.

Amherst County Public Safety Director Gary Roakes said a vehicle hit a power pole Thursday night. The crash has shutdown the North and Southbound lanes on 29 from Seminole Drive to Lyttleton Lane.

Traffic is being rerouted.

There are no injuries.

AEP and Verizon crews are working on getting things cleared and power restored.

Amherst County emergency crews believe it could take several hours.
