Lynchburg's Old City Cemetery hosting WWI workshop and planting program
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- In honor of the World War I Centennial, the Old City Cemetery Museums and Arboretum said its continuing their garden series.
They are holding a "Victory Garden" workshop and spring planting.
It will be done in the new raised beds located in the Compost Center.
This is a hands on workshop and those attending are encouraged to participate with the planting; remember to dress for the weather and bring work gloves.
They said that follow up harvesting and planting sessions are planned and to check the website for details as they become available.
The WWI era, Stapleton Station House, will also be open that morning.
Good news, the event is free and open to the public.
