LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Lynchburg is full of thriving small businesses, but not every business becomes a success story.

That's why Lynchburg native, Jamie Reynolds, returned to the hill city to help business owners make it in their industry.

His new business will offer a wide range of services including financial modeling and tax accounting.

"I've started Stillwater Business Solutions with the main focus on taking that financial planning analysis of Fortune 500 companies and taking that to small businesses to help them succeed," Reynolds said.

Reynolds said 50 percent of businesses fail in the first 5 years and his goal is to improve that statistic.

Mayor Joan Foster and other local business owners attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance on Thursday.
