Lynchburg native makes top 3 in Big Brother
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Big Brother season 19 has come to a close after the season finale aired Wednesday night.
Before the season started it was announced one of the contestants had ties to our area, even graduated from Heritage High School in Lynchburg.
Christmas Abbott came in third in the competition after she was eliminated during the finale.
Christmas grew up in Lynchburg, but currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She said her grandmother still lives in Lynchburg and considers the city her hometown.
She describes herself as a fitness superstar, and her website has links to her cross fit and personal training.
Christmas actually broke her foot early on in the Big Brother season, but stayed to compete and made it pretty far.
And one memorable moment from her journey, Christmas was the first Houseguest to ever cast an eviction vote from outside of the house, she called host Julie Chen to vote from the hospital after her injury.
Some fun facts she lists about herself include that she was the first female in NASCAR Sprint Cup's pit crew, she's a national best-selling author who just released a second book, she's a CrossFit Games athlete, and a two-time Iraq contractor.
