Lynchburg man sentenced to 14 years for rape
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- A Lynchburg man has been sentenced to 14 years behind bars for rape.
According to the court clerk, a judge sentenced Marvin Phillips to 30 years but suspended 20.
Phillips was also sentenced to 15 years with 11 years suspended for his other charge of aggravated sexual battery.
The incident happened back in 2014.
Police then charged him with aggravated sexual battery of a child between ages 13 and 17.
