Liberty University Voters Go Big for Rubio and Cruz
Lynchburg, VA - Liberty University students went big for Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz in the GOP presidential primary, despite school president Jerry Falwell Jr.'s endorsement of Donald Trump.
Trump won only about 8 percent of the vote in Liberty's voting precinct, compared to 44 percent for Rubio and 33 percent for Cruz.
Liberty is the country's most prominent evangelical Christian institution and is a frequent stop for politicians looking to gain the support of young evangelical voters. Cruz launched his presidential bid there.
Falwell is among the biggest evangelical leaders supporting Trump and has campaigned with him.
