Falwell tweeted that he landed in Puerto Rico on Friday afternoon with a group from the emergency shelter.

He also tweeted that Samaritan's Purse and Franklin Graham sent a plane load of supplies to people on the island and helped evacuated many of those stranded there.

Samaritan's Purse is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world, according to its Twitter bio, and sent critically needed supplies and a disaster assistance response team to Saint Martin.

Additional emergency flights will be arriving on hard-hit islands in the days ahead.

Samaritan’s Purse is also putting equipment into position for a U.S. Disaster Relief response to support people affected by Irma.

Samartian's Purse also has a team in Texas working to help families devastated by Hurricane Harvey.
