Investigation underway after fire breaks out at Rustburg auto shop

RUSTBURG, Va. (WSET) -- A fire at local auto repair shop is under investigation in Campbell County.

Campbell County Public Safety said five different agencies including the Rustburg Volunteer Fire Department, Lyn-Dan Heights Volunteer Fire Department, Campbell County Sheriff's Office, Public Safety, and Virginia State Police all responded to the Royal Tire in Rustburg.

The call came in around 8:10 p.m. Monday, March 12 of someone reporting smoke coming from the shop on Village Highway.

Around 35 firefighters responded to the scene.

Officials said the fire was quickly located inside the building and extinguished.

There are no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
