FOREST, Va. (WSET) -- A local woman is looking for the person who she said stole her wallet right under her nose.

Sarah Krycinski has the surveillance video showing a woman behind her in line at the Dollar General in Forest steal her wallet.

She's hoping the person who stole it will come forward.

Krycinski said when she got home from Dollar General Tuesday night, she started backtracking her steps when she realized she didn't have her wallet.

She realized that the last place she spent her money was at Dollar General.

The store had surveillance video ready for her to watch.

"It was so gut wrenching to have to watch this," Krycinski said.

In the video, you can see Krycinski and her two daughters at the checkout counter before she pays for her items; you see that she leaves her wallet right at the cash register.

The woman behind her gets in line to check out.

"She notices it so she puts the paper towels to block it so the poor guy couldn't see. He's the nicest guy. He feels so bad," Krycinski said. "He turns his back for one second and she snags it and shoves it, and doesn't even just shove it, she puts other things on top of it. My heart dropped out of my body when I saw it."

Krycinski put the video on Facebook where it's gotten more than 1,000 shares.

But, she just wants the suspect to come forward and she hopes this story will be a positive one.

"There is sin in everybody," she said. "We all have to come clean, this lady has a chance."

Krycinski hopes they can both move forward.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office said they are working with Krycinski on the case and right now, she does not plan to press any charges.
