High school students experience drunk and distracted driving through simulators
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Students at Heritage High School were able to get hands-on experience with distracted and drunk driving.
Simulators allowed students to safely experience those actions.
It's part of the Save a Life Tour, which is a group that goes around the country talking to people about the dangers of drunk and distracted driving.
Students said these situations happen every day and they need to be aware of the dangers.
"I think it's better to find out like this because if you go and try to find out in real life you may not survive trying to do that," said Abigail Poindexter, a junior.
Students had opportunities throughout the day to try the simulators.
