'He was very sweet:' remembering teen killed in Forest crash
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Hundreds came out to say goodbye to an E.C. Glass student killed last week following a May 6 accident.
Cade Bailey and five others were in a Jeep when it rolled over and ejected everyone in the vehicle.
Bailey died Friday, May 11.
A celebration of his life took place at Gospel Community Church in Lynchburg.
Students who knew the 18-year-old had nothing but fond memories of the young man who was always smiling.
"Everybody knew Cade," said one attendee of the service. "And everybody knew Cade because he was so different than everybody else. He didn't care what anybody else thought of him, and I think that's honestly what made him so special."
"He was very sweet," another attendee said. "I mean every interaction that I've had with him was always really positive. He's always in a good mood. And always, always has a smile on his face."
People were asked to wear colorful clothing, and in lieu of flowers, donate to a Go Fund Me page set up in his name.
The crash remains under investigation.
