Former deputy indicted on child sex abuse charges
DINWIDDIE Co., Va. (WSET) - A former deputy with the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office has been indicted on child sex abuse charges, according to WRIC.
According to court documents obtained by WRIC, Hector David Jiminez allegedly forced a 13-year-old girl to have sex with him in 2015.
Anne Baskerville, the Commonwealth's Attorney for Dinwiddie County, says the 46-year-old was not with the sheriff's office when the alleged crimes happened.
Jimenez faces up to 30 years in prison and is charged with aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a minor.
According to WRIC, he was indicted Tuesday, and fired from the sheriff's office Wednesday.
Jimenez is being held without bond at Meherrin Regional Jail.
