LOUDOUN Co., Va. (WSET) -- Five victims were trapped in a wrecked car for hours after a deadly crash in Loudoun County Friday.

Police said one person was killed when the car collided with a food truck around 5 p.m.

Dozens of emergency responders surrounded a mangled car and a bus which is known in the community as a converted food truck.

The person killed was found in the car, which contained three juveniles and two adults.

One of the adults died on the scene.

Police said the driver of the food truck was driving east on Watson Road, when the driver collided with the car driving north on Evergreen Mills Road.

The impact of the crash was so severe, it bent the guardrail.

Firefighters worked for hours to remove five people from the car while several medevac helicopters were on standby.

"This has been a very difficult extrication, we had to bring in a heavy wrecking unit to remove the bus from on top of the vehicle and once we did that we gained access to the patients," said Keith Johnson, with Loudoun Co. Fire & Rescue.

Four people in the car are in critical condition.

Three more people in the food truck suffered injuries that are non-life threatening.
