Family: Teenage driver crashed into Bedford home

BEDFORD, Va. (WSET) - Police say a car hit a home in Bedford just after midnight Friday.

According to the family who lives in the home, a teenage girl driver came around the curb too fast on Hulls Estate Drive and hit the double-wide.

Four people live in the home, and they say they weren't injured in the crash.

Jared Ellis says he was playing his XBOX when he heard the crash.

"The first thing that came to mind was like an earthquake or something. I came out here didn't have no shirt or shoes on just came running out here trying to figure out what was going on. This was something crazy," Ellis said.

The car ran into the corner of the house, and the family says it did cause some damage.

"Right here would've been a closet, but right outside that closet is where our bed is. If it had pushed any further, it would've taken the whole wall down. You can replace a house and a car, you can't replace your life,"

According to the family, the driver had minor injuries and her head was bleeding.
