Police: 1 person sent to hospital after moped, car collide
LYNCHBURG, Va (WSET) -- One person is in the hospital due to an early morning accident in Lycnhburg.
Police were called to the scene at 12:46 a.m. on Thursday, May 17,2018.
The accident caused Fort Avenue to be blocked. By 1:42 a.m. the scene cleared and the road is now back open
An ambulance and several Lynchburg police cars were on scene.
According to police a moped and a car were involved. The moped is damaged and there is minor damage to the front bumper of the car.
Crews transferred the driver of the moped to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is still currently under investigation and no charges have been filed as of now.
After the investigation police will decide whether or not charges will be served.
