Dozens arrested in narcotics round up across Commonwealth
PRINCE WILLIAM Co., Va. (WSET) -- Detectives from across the Commonwealth joined together in a continued campaign sought to combat heroin use and distribution.
This sweep was done in Northern Virginia and focused on the growing heroin epidemic being seen across the nation.
Warrants were obtained for 43 individuals.
The Narcotics Task Force has conducted five similar large-scale operations since 2013 focusing on the enforcement action to prevent use and an educational component about the drug and an opportunity for those arrested to get help for their addictions.
Over 200 arrests have been made.
