Downtown Lynchburg Public Library reopens

Officials said during a routine inspection, a pest control company under contract with the City of Lynchburg discovered a small infestation of book lice and bedbugs in one area of the library. The problem has since then been resolved. (Google Maps).

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Downtown Branch of the Lynchburg Public Library reopened this morning, Mon., December 4th.

The branch was temporarily closed last week after a pest control company’s routine inspection discovered a small infestation of book lice and bedbugs in one area of the library.

The contained area was treated over the weekend.

The library, located in City Hall at 900 Church Street, has resumed its regular schedule of Monday - Friday, 9:30 A.M. -5:30 P.M.
