Danville Utility Commission wants to hear from you
Many of you have reached out to us stating how you were upset with your most recent utility bill.
Several of you in Danville have reached out to us and now the Danville Utility Commission wants to hear from you directly.
On Monday February 26th, they are holding their commission meeting at 4 p.m., but they are also offering a later public comment portion at 5:30 p.m.
They added this time so many of you would be able to attend once you get off work. If you can make it to the whole meeting that is encouraged.
Director of Danville Utilities Jason Grey said they have several presentations lined up. One will be on how to use energy during cold and hot spells.
Grey said he will be explaining what happened in January, but will also address things that can be done to be better prepared when future spells happen.
"I would like to meet with them if they would like to, address their concerns later on after the meeting if they are willing to talk to us and see how we can help them improve their use of energy," Grey said.
He said they will be going through a cost of service rate study later in the year which will be completed sometime in November.
That study will determine what their rates will be for the next two years.
