Police: Man charged after multi-vehicle crash on Route 460 East


LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Lynchburg Police say a man has been charged after a chain reaction crash on Route 460 East Wednesday morning.

Officials say the crash happened around 7:50 a.m.

They say a pickup truck was unable stop for traffic near Candlers Mountain Road, and rear-ended a truck, which crashed into a Jeep.

Emergency personnel blocked the left lane and left shoulder blocked for about an hour, according to Virginia 511.

Police say two people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

They say the pickup truck driver was charged with reckless driving. Police weren't able to release his identity at this time.
