Charges dropped against 19-year-old homicide suspect

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) - According to the Roanoke General District Court, the case against a 19-year-old charged with second degree murder has been dropped as of April 20.

Michael Antonio David, Jr., 19, of Roanoke, was arrested in January after police say he and Markeith O'Shea Bryson Jr., 19, shot and killed a 28-year-old in his car.

Police say Michael Lee Nance was shot in his stomach in the 1800 block of Staunton Avenue, and later died at the hospital.

The court's website didn't indicate why the charges against David were dropped.
