'Be a Santa to a Senior' holds Gift Wrapping Party, gift delivery to start soon.
The holidays are about to get a whole lot brighter for some seniors in our area.
Home Instead Senior Care's "Be a Santa to a Senior program" held their annual "Gift Wrapping Party" today.
Some great news, all 818 senior tags on the trees that Home Instead placed all over our area were adopted.
So, every senior that was in the program, will receive some much needed necessaries this Christmas.
Now, the effort goes to volunteers delivering them.
Krista Johnson from Home Instead says volunteers will check out the gifts, and then deliver it themselves to the senior individually.
Each senior that is signed up in the program will get a individual visit to their house.
"That's really special" Johnson said.
