AMBER ALERT: Police believe 9-month-old and her mom are in extreme danger
HAMPTON, Va. (WSET) -- An Amber Alert has been issued on behalf of the Hampton Police Department who is looking for Chloe Johnson, who is only nine-months-old, and her mother.
Police said Chloe is 2'5", 20 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair and was last seen on Hastings Avenue in Hampton on April 30.
Police believe she is in extreme danger and could be traveling in a black Kia Optima with license plate VAW2197 towards Buckroe Beach.
The AMBER Alert does not identify an abductor.
Police said based on new information they believe the child's mother, Keir Johnson, 34, was also abducted; she was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt, and glasses.
"Keir and Chloe’s family are concerned due to the length of time that has passed since they last had contact with them. It is out of the norm for Keir to be gone for an extended amount of time and to not make contact with family or friends," police wrote.
If you have seen them or know anything, call the Hampton Police Division at 757-727-6111 or state police at 1-800-822-4453 (1-800-VACHILD).
Chloe and her mother were reported missing last week, according to WAVY News in Virginia Beach.
