The Weekly Buzz: Children's Fun Run, Heritage Festival, Touch-A-Truck
Lynchburg, VA - Parents grab your kids and throw on your tennis shoes; it's time for a Children's Fun Run and 5K Family Walk.
Saturday at Peaks View Park in Lynchburg, families will be kicking the dust for a day of fun and exercise.
It's $10 to register online or $15 paper registration.
Infants can also register to receive a race onesie.
If you don't feel like sweating it out but still want some family fun, head out to the 6th annual Campbell County Heritage Festival.
On Saturday there will be educational and historical demonstrations crafters, food vendors, storytellers and musical entertainment.
It's at the Community Park adjacent to William Campbell High School from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
It's $5 per person and kids under 10-years-old get in free.
Do helicopters, police cars and school buses pique your kids' interest?
If so head out to First Baptist Church of Gretna on Saturday.
They can climb inside and explore them all.
Touch-A-Truck is from 10 am until noon.
There will also be a bouncy house, face painting, and food.
Admission is free but donations are encouraged and go to the Gretna Community Fund.
