The Buzz July 19-21: Friday Cheers, Kegs and Corks, Pirates Day
A lot of events going on outside this weekend.
Let's start in Lynchburg.
Friday Cheers is welcoming "The House Band" to the stage.
They play a mix of soul, R&B and funk.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and it's just $5 to get in at Riverfront Festival Park.
It's the first ever Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival this Saturday in Forest.
Head to Apocalypse Ale Works from noon to 6 p.m.
You can see a national home brewing competition, try out different area wines or beers, and there will be live music all evening.
Tickets are $25 at the gate.
If you want to have fun in the water, Smith Mountain Lake may be the best option for you.
All weekend they are having Pirate Days at the Bridgewater Plaza.
There will be music, pirate ship tours, and mock pirate fights.
Finally, in Roanoke, it's the 24th annual Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia.
It's known as Virginia's Olympics.
There is everything from badminton to boxing.
The games kick off Friday night with opening ceremonies.
