Buzzing Aug. 10: Live Music, Movie Screening & Ceremony at D-Day Memorial
This weekend, you can check out some great live music! DeVault Family Vineyards presents The Worx Saturday, August 10.The band is a local favorite--playing a variety of songs. There will be wine tasting from two vineyards from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Worx hits the stage at 7 p.m.
Rare Form will be at Phase 2 Saturday night. The high energy band plays country, rock and dance music that always gets the crowd going. That's $8 to get in, and the music starts around 8 p.m.
Saturday night, Lynchburg is celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of my favorite movies. The Riverflick series presents "The Sandlot" at Amazement Square's outdoor theater. To celebrate America's favorite pastime, Southpaw of the Lynchburg Hillcats will be there before the movie. This is free and open to the public!
The D-Day Memorial in Bedford is holding a special ceremony to "Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive." The National Spirit of 1945 is a way to say thank you to those who served. There will be a tribute concert to Frank Sinatra--that starts at 7 p.m.
