Buzz Mar. 14-16: Wounded Warrior Concert, St. Patrick's Day Parade, and Chocolate Festival
Lynchburg, VA- On Saturday the Stoney Badger Tavern in Lynchburg will host six bands for the U.S. Marine Corp/Wounded Warrior Concert. There is a seven dollar donation at the door for guests and marines get in free. The event runs from four p.m until one- thirty a.m.All proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
In Roanoke the McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday.It runs from Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue to Williamson Road. The Shamrock Festival will follow from noon to eight.
The Second Annual Chocolate Sundae Festival will be at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center on Sunday. There will be chocolate education classes in the morning and a festival in the afternoon. This event is a fundraiser for the Southwestern Virginia Chapter of the American Culinary Federation outreach programs. They teach the benefits of healthy eating habits and food preparation to the community.
Individual sessions cost about 27 bucks, and packages for this event run anywhere from 75 to 100 dollars. You can find more information here.
