Buzz Oct. 11-13: Scaremare, Wine & Garlic Festival & Trucker's Parade
Halloween is just around the corner, and that means it's time for Scaremare! Liberty University hosts the annual the event that confronts people with the question "What happens after I die?" The journey takes you through creepy trails, dark woods and then the haunted house. Scaremare is open Oct. 10-12, 17-19 and 24-26. Tickets are $8.
Friday night in Lynchburg, the popular Mark Miller Band is back on stage. Come out to The Ellington for some great original rock songs and famous covers like Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix and Zeppelin. Music starts at 6:30 and tickets are $10.
This weekend, it'll be Chic to Reek! The 2013 Wine and Garlic Festival is back at Rebec Vineyards. There will be several local wineries, live music and all kinds of garlic foods. That's Saturday and Sunday, and tickets are $20 at the gate.
Finally on Saturday, Charlotte County will host the 13th annual Trucker's Parade Against Cancer. Truckers from all over are uniting to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The route kicks off in Phenix at 3 p.m. and ends in Keysville.
