It goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine. Women and girls ages 8 and up can sign up for a free private plane ride. You can also tour the Air Traffic Control Tower and try your hand at flying one of Liberty University's state-of-the-art simulators.

Check out the Stars and Stripes Forever Patriotic Concert on Saturday night at the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. It starts at 7 with "The Let's Dance Band." Then the Jefferson Choral Society hits the stage at 8 p.m. Don't forget to bring your own chair! Tickets are 8 dollars in advance or 10 at the door, children six to 18 pay just five bucks in advance or 8 at the door and children under six get in free.

And a Lynchburg tradition since 1866 continues this Sunday at Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg. The confederate Memorial Day Service is at 3 p.m. This year it is sponsored by Garland-Rodes Camp No. 409.
