Lynchburg Public Library hosting Comic Con 2017

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Public Library is hosting a Comic Con next month with 501st and Rebel Legions, Starfleet of the U.S.S. Heimdal, and other cosplay characters.

It will be Saturday, May 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library on Memorial Avenue in the Community Meeting Room and is free and open to the public.

There will be an artist workshop presented by Baer Davis, a cosplay workshop presented by Jonathon Nash, costume contests, games and crafts, entertainment by Balloon Dude Travis, airbrush tattoos, face painting, and much more.

Also, the first 200 people who visit the interactive wand booth will get a free Harry Potter inspired wand.

Food trucks will be on premises, including Taco Shark, Uppercrust Pizza, and Nomad Coffee.

Everyone is invited to dress as their favorite character.
