Annual Monacan Indian Nation Powwow returns for 25th year
AMHERST Co., Va. (WSET) - The 25th annual Monacan Indian Nation Powwow will be Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The powwow will be on Route 130, six miles west of Route 29.
Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $6 for children between five and 12, and children under five get in for free.
Organizers say there will be special performances form Native American singers and dancers from across the North America.
Officials say outside food and drink is not allowed.
They say only service animals will be allowed in the event.
