BB&T to donate $10,000 to Red Cross for tornado relief
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- BB&T, announced that they will be donating $10,000 to assist in relief efforts for those impacted by the April 15 tornado.
The storm ravaged communities in Central Virginia, causing significant damage on the Timberlake Road section of Lynchburg, Elon, and Westover.
The donation from BB&T will go to the American Red Cross of Blue Ridge, which is aiding in the recovery of the region.
“Our hearts go out to the many people and communities impacted by this devastating tornado,” said Stephen Lamanna, BB&T Market President for the South Central VA region in a press release.
