Forest, VA - A local Non-Profit organization embraced the Christmas season Saturday by raising money for a good cause. The "HIS" Vision Project held a Christmas Zumbathon.
Participants each paid thirty dollars to Zumba, and that money will go to provide a local child with an eye exam and pair of glasses.
The organization also says they plan to open a HIS Vision permanent eye clinic in Haiti, to give the gift of sight.
"Most people look over the fact that vision is so important for people to be able to do anything in life and it is often looked over, so we just want to raise awareness and help people who need glasses," said Elaine Olkone, a Volunteer with the HIS Vision Project.
