E.C. Glass senior Matthew Zajac has passed another milestone in his track and field career. Zajac topped the 200 feet mark in the discus Friday, throwing 200 feet, 8 inches on his final throw and winning the prestigious Penn Relays, the biggest track meet of the outdoor season with athletes from 60 countries competing. Zajac becomes the first Virginia high school athlete to break 200 feet in the discus. He'll go for a fourth-straight state championship this June.
