Young Entrepreneurs Learning From DCC Lemonade Stand
Danville, VA -- Little entrepreneurs were bringing in the money at a lemonade stand Thursday morning. Three and four year olds were selling lemonade and cookies as part of Danville Community College's Early Childhood Education Program. DCC Students worked on the project to teach daycare kids about the value of money. The kids were passing out lemonade, taking cash, and of course bringing in customers."They're learning about pride in their own self and work and about entrepreneurship. Which a lot of people might say they are too young but they're starting to learn concepts," said Michelle Wilerson, student at DCC.They brought in more than $50 in just the hour they were out there. The money will go towards the kids' Mother's Day gifts.
