Write-In Candidate Wins Appomattox Co. School Board Seat

Appomattox Co., VA - We now know who won the open seat on the Appomattox County School Board. The registrar says Al Jones received the most write-in votes.

This was one of the last elections in the state that was undecided. With the previous board member withdrawing too late for anyone to be added to the ballot, no one was running for the seat. So, Al Jones and Sharon Drinkard each launched a write-in campaign.

The registrar says Jones received 378 of the 623 write in votes.
