Woman Shot in Roanoke, Police Investigating

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke police say a woman was outside Wednesday walking when she heard a gunshot and realized she'd been hit.

They say Brittna Hodges, 22, of Salem was walking on Staunton Avenue around 11 p.m. when it happened.

She told police a maroon Impala with tinted windows and large rims drove by her, and then she heard the shot.

Someone then took her to the hospital where she synced up with police.

Right now police are investigating whether this car is related to the aggravated assault.
